"Insomnia" by Alex Grey is an 8" x 10" oil painting on wood. It depicts what it feels like to be restless due to racing thoughts. Thoughts regarding internal conflict. A battle between right and wrong. But who decides how actions are categorized between the two. Is there grey area? Maybe there are situations where there are no real good outcomes; only evil and a lesser evil . Is it still wrong to choose something that you believe is the lesser evil based on your own beliefs, which are directly influenced by your own life experience? How does one decide which path to choose? Maybe the decision was calculated. Maybe it was made by immediate intuition. One's choice may be right in their own eyes, but completely wrong from another's perspective. Everything is about perspective. It is the first hand view of ones perception and the amount of what they are able to perceive is directly correlated to their awareness.
